Friendly Seamen’s Centre in the harbor of Amsterdam
The workers of the seamens centre Amsterdam are friendly and helpful. They provided free shuttle service from and to the harbor, so we did not need to get a taxi. The centre has many nice facilities for seafarer’s such as a small supermarket, sim card and payment with foreign currency. But even more important than the items is the atmosphere in the centre. The workers understand seamen and have a true heart for them, being kind and happy. Overall I recommended paying a visit if you can get shore leave to blow off some steam in the harbor of Amsterdam.

Very nice Seamen’s club at the port of Amsterdam!
A cozy karaoke corner, bar with food and drinks, clothing store with Amsterdam apparel, and a small section with supermarket items: the Seamen’s Centre Amsterdam has everything a sailor needs during a short stay at the port. And they even have a free ride service from and to the ship!
